First Story: Top Player Palmer Available for Crucial Capital Derby with Arsenal

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca announced on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the team's important top-flight fixture against local rivals Arsenal.

The young English international was out of action due to a broken toe incurred after an accidental incident.

“He is available to start and to play,” Maresca declared. “All involved are pleased.”

In the current campaign, Palmer has made only four appearances across all competitions, scoring twice.

After joining from City in the previous year, he has achieved 45 strikes and 29 setups in 101 games for the London club.

“He is our top performer, we are happy he is back, we need to allow him time to be fully fit,” Maresca continued. “He has been brilliant historically and no doubt he is going to do exceptionally well for this club in the future.”

2. Everton Get No Reason for Failed Gueye Dismissal Appeal

Everton were unsuccessful in their protest against Idrissa Gueye's sending off for a physical confrontation with fellow player Michael Keane during the team's narrow win at Manchester United.

The 36-year-old Senegalese player was sent off just early on into the contest after slapping Keane amid a dispute over a poor pass.

Gueye quickly said sorry, and the pair were seen making up later in a light-hearted online post.

However, the challenge against the dismissal was turned down, and Gueye must serve a three-game suspension, leaving Everton shorthanded for their upcoming fixture against Newcastle.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” manager the manager revealed. “No explanation was provided for the rejection but we did appeal it.”

When asked about any further fallout from the event, Moyes remarked: “It ended right away, it was done, that was it, we moved on swiftly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

3. Wissa Trains with Newcastle for First Time since Injury

Newcastle United's new acquisition Yoane Wissa has practiced with his new teammates for the initial occasion since suffering a knee injury shortly after his arrival from his former club in the autumn.

Manager Eddie Howe announced the news on the end of the week but kept private a potential comeback timeline for the player.

Newcastle brought in the striker for £55m to replace Alexander Isak, who joined Liverpool for a record-breaking transfer fee.

Unfortunately, Wissa was injured while on national team duty before he could make his debut for his new club.

Nevertheless, Nuno stressed that there can be no taking it easy when the sides clash on the weekend at the their home ground.

The Hammers will have available Lucas Paquetá after his ban, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are progressing in their recovery from fitness issues.

Fifth Story: Gibbs-White Could Feature for Forest against Brighton

Nottingham Forest's boss Sean Dyche is optimistic that Morgan Gibbs-White will be fit for the team's at home fixture against Brighton on Sunday.

The England player missed Thursday's European game against Malmö due to a back injury.

“Hopefully it’s settling down,” Dyche said as he prepared to face Fabian Hürzeler's team, who have secured a decent haul from their last three outings.

“It’s like a bad back, but a morning sort of injury, one where you just sleep funny or twist funny. So we’re not expecting, at this stage anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s improving already. So we’re hopeful that it’ll be okay for the weekend.”

Murillo was feeling his hamstring muscle after the comfortable European win, but Dyche indicated the player “will likely be available”.

However, the full-back (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), the winger (hamstring), Chris Wood (knee), and the defender (hip) are expected to miss out.

Sixth Story: Oliver Glasner: Conference League Defeat Won't Set Back Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner believes that the setback of Thursday's European loss to the French side is a sign of how far the team has advanced in competing on two fronts.

The domestic cup winners went ahead at Stade de la Meinau through Tyrick Mitchell's first-half goal but were equalized against by the opposition manager's team, who moved up to runner-up in the table.
